I got 269 (19 more than expected) clicks from Sean and 59 optins for a conversion rate of just 22% which means I paid $1.68 per subscriber. Perhaps Sean’s list isn’t very interested in WordPress plugins.

I bought a solo ad from Igor Kheifets for 200 clicks at $70 or $0.35 a click.

This one will get confusing as I goofed up on my tracking information and Igor also sent over additional traffic since I had won 200+ clicks from an affiliate promotion I did for promoting one of Igor’s affiliate contests.

Here are my results:

I noticed after Igor had sent 100 clicks that my tracking was funny, I promptly fixed it. Igor contacted me once I had 238 clicks but due to the tracking glitch only 68 optins. However 68 divided by 138 (238 – 100) is a conversion of 49%. So I’m comfortable saying that I got approximately 117 subscribers from this promotion or a cost per subscriber of $0.60.

However when you factor in the extras of the additional clicks from placing in the contest it gets quite a bit better. Igor sent 604 clicks and I got over 212 subscribers for sure (not including the 100 clicks that I goofed on) which brings the cost per subscriber down to $0.33 and a conversion rate of 42%+

I highly recommend buying a solo ad from Igor.
